skin fix: origins clean energy gentle cleansing oil

I've been hearing murmurings about oil-based cleansers of late - Nude Skincare and Shu Uemura are just a couple of brands that come to mind – and how they're the best thing to happen to skincare since fine-grain exfoliators. But with my oily skin, I was skeptical; the mere thought of dousing my face with grease seemed like a contradiction in terms. After trying Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil, however, I was happily surprised by the result.
Even though it's made with a host of vegetable oils, including olive, sunflower, sesame and safflower, it doesn't clog pores, and in fact, actually tightened my pores post-cleansing (a godsend for oily skin types). That said, it wasn't an uncomfortable tightening - my skin felt cleansed, yet not dried out. I also like that the oil turns an almost frothy white when you mix it with oil. Meanwhile, the scents of grapefruit, orange and lemon are like a breath of fresh air on groggy, early mornings. Gotta love Origins.
