Where, oh where is the sun? Not that I advocate baking in the rays, mind you, but along with seasonal affective disorder affecting my mood, my skin is experiencing a disorder of the pasty kind. Not pretty. For skin rescusitation, (and not expecting miracles) I turned to per-fekt's Body Perfection Gel. Not a self-tanner per se (so it doesn't have the telltale odor or endless drying time), this lotion instantly glowifies the skin with subtly sheer bronzy shimmer while perfecting at the same time. Its packed with shea butter and ceramides to soften, while sci-fi-sounding hyaluronic filling spheres help hydrate to glaze over not-so-nice body imperfections. (Hyaluronic spheres are usually used in facial skincare, but this is the first bodycare product to boast them). It comes in a few shades (I used the lightest, Brilliant) and you can use it wherever you need beautifying (try the decollete for Valentine's date night). My skin felt super silky (I honestly can't stop touching it) and truly alive again.

I have to say that I tried this and while it's true that it makes your skin so incredibly smooth feeling (it's kind of freakishly amazing), it didn't really have any visible effect on my skin. I put it on after moisturizer and before makeup, and honestly couldn't tell any difference.
I returned the thing. But it's nice to know that it works for some people.
