I'm going into some serious Gossip Girl withdrawal. Here's hoping those writers and the studios make peace soon, but in the meantime, let's ponder our Queen Bee, Blair Waldorf's makeup look, shall we? In this shot, taken from the riotous episode, "The Wild Brunch", Blair is in her dressing gown at home, but of course, looking no less ravishing (and snarly) than usual. Blair's all about the "no-makeup-makeup" look: perfect porcelain skin, along with a whisper of color on the cheeks and subtle pink lips.
To steal this look, apply a liquid or powder foundation on the skin such as Chanel Mat Lumiere to achieve a smooth canvas (since it's mattifying, you won't need powder with this one).
Follow up with a light sweep of soft pink blush such as Smashbox Blush in Aurora on the cheeks. To give the eyes a little definition, use a matte, medium-brown eyeshadow such as Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Sable in the creases only and use a darker brown shadow such as Rich Brown to line the upper and lower lashes. Skip mascara to keep the eyes soft. For a pop of subtle color on the lips use a corally-pink lipstick such as Laura Mercier Lip Color Creme in Roman Moon.
