I haven't had a potted lip balm in my purse for years, mainly because I like the hands-free convenience and minimal mess factor of tube glosses. But I'm willing to make an exception for Korres Lip Butter in Quince, which is my new, heavy-rotation lip product. Pourquoi? Korres Lip Butter is a tinted balm that's the closest thing to the texture of real butter I think I've ever tried; it melts into lips with its moisturizing shea butter and rice wax-infused formula. And though the color looks rather shocking in the pot, when you put it on, it's the loveliest, most flattering petal-pink that seems to wake up your whole complexion (I kid you not). It's got a super-subtle, fruity scent, but it's made without synthetic fragrances and dyes (along with no parabens, sulfates and petrochemicals). And, packaging-wise, the vibrant fuchsia lid just makes me happy for some reason; it hints at the prettiness within, and does not disappoint.

Oh, I LOVE this! I'm all over the 'plum' shade. It smells so good and I can't believe it heals dryness while bestowing the prettiest colour. I'm curious to see if I can work this shade. And I agree, the lid makes me happy too!
Katherine - Will have to check out the Plum shade. I also have the Jasmine Lip Butter (a super-light pink) which actually smells like yummy, caramelly dessert. I want them all!
Awesome you posted about this - I ADORE this product. Using pomegranate - it's got great colour. Kinda like Benetint lip balm, but better - because it's more natural. (I stopped using most chemical-laden products on my lips after realizing I was basically eating all the badness.)
Michelle - good point! what's that scary stat - that women will eat something like 6 pounds of lipstick in their lifetime? It definitely gives one pause.
