Makeup veered to the dark side at the end of London Fashion Week, with models at punk-queen-designer Vivienne Westwood's Red Label show channelling gothic-glam looks. Exagerrated (and at times smeared-on) plummy-black smokey eyes and full-on dark red pouts set against pale-as-a-ghost skin were fitting embellishments to the edgy, punk rock girl and naughty librarian clothes.
And while makeup rules usually hold that you shouldn't go bold on more than one feature, up against statement-making clothes like these, eyes and lips played-up to full effect somehow works.
