lip service: vasanti cosmetics tinted lip balm

For me, tinted lip balm is my no-brainer, easiest-to-apply, go-to lip product. So when I find a good one, I hang onto it for dear life (lest it become lost in the depths of my abyss-like handbag). And my new favorite is this one by Canadian brand Vasanti Cosmetics. Originally launched by a trio of South Asian ladies with cosmetics that catered to darker skin tones, Vasanti recently relaunched its line with products perfect for all women, and all skin tones. Color me impressed. The Tinted Lip Balm looks like a lipstick (complete with chic, silver-bullet packaging), but is, in fact, a wonderfully nourishing lip conditioner that brings just a whisper of color and shine to your lips. Packed with shea and mango butter, meadowfoam seed oil and olive and sunflower oil, these balms deliver a soft and smooth texture with a hint of a fruity-fresh scent. My fave color: Bahamas, a natural, works-on-everyone, plummy brown.
