sugarshock best of beauty 2007

I couldn't resist doing an end-of-year round-up of favorite beauty booty. Because who doesn't love "best of" lists? But let me tell you, narrowing it all down to 10 must-have products wasn't easy. I've tried a ton of amazing beautifiers over the last year, and many of them have found a home in my ever-growing makeup bag. But these are the ones I seem to reach for (or pine for, when I run out), again and again. Here are my favorite beauty items of 2007, in no particular order:

Duwop Blushbooster in Apple: My favorite pink blush. Always gives me a luminous, just-back-from-the-gym glow.

MAC Plushlash Mascara: Gives fat lashes without clumps and a pretty-doe-eyed effect. Bat away.

La Bella Donna Vision of Mineral Lights in Naturale: Hands-down, my most-used product of the year. Its four flattering shades from champagne to bronze are the perfect neutral eyeshadows. When I want a candlelit glow, I sweep the powders all over my face.

Bespoke Labs T3 Featherweight Hairdryer: If you dry your hair often, this is the single best investment you can make to cut down on heat damage and drying time. Drying my hair is no longer the huge chore it used to be and takes mere minutes.

Somme Institute Skincare: My new "holy grail" skincare system. There's a reason for its cult reputation among models and actresses: it simply works.

Bliss Triple Oxygen Face Mask: I loved the healthy, fresh-faced look I got from this mask so much, I started using it every day. Of course, now I've run out, and can't wait to get my hands on more.

Alterna Caviar Shampoo and Conditioner: Pricey but worth it. The invigorating scent and sheer indulgence of ingredients elevate hair-washing to a spa-like experience. My hair feels like silk after using these products.

Hourglass Oxygen Mineral Face Powder: The mineral face powder that turned me on to mineral makeup. Love the satiny sheen it gives my skin.

MAC Mattene Lipstick: Lipstick for lipbalm lovers. Gives a moisturizing yet matte finish in super-flattering shades.

Tie: Glossary Super Gloss in Brazilla and Open Sundaes Lip Toppings in Vanilla Sundae: Two glosses vied for my affections this year and I couldn't decide which one was better. Both smell irresistibly yummy and their subtle iridescence makes my lips look just a little bit plumper.

What were your must-have beauty products this year? Let me know in the comments.

I can't live without Bare Escentuals mineral makeup. It provides natural coverage, has SPF 15, and makes my skin look so healthy. I also like Boots No. 7 lip glosses because they smell good and are thick without being too sticky.

I've been dying to try Bare Escentuals - love that it has sun protection too, because you can never have enough.
will have to check out the Boots No. 7 glosses too - any colors you recommend?
