On day 2 of couture week, Karl Lagerfeld channelled Anna Wintour/Katie Holmes with models sporting the fashionistas' trademark banged bob. Meanwhile, Christian Lacroix channelled....beetles? Yes, it's true. Suzy Menkes of the International Herald Tribune reports that Lacroix took his inspiration from insects, and it shows in the beauty looks, too, where the models sported scarab-beetle-green swaths of eyecolor amidst an exagerrated black smokey eye. While I'd never wear this look, for fear of looking like a crazy gang lady reject from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, I love it purely for its sheer creativity alone. But I could see that small hits of that amazing day-glo green and metallic gold would look really lovely with an otherwise bare face.
