fragrance notes: benefit b spot

Benefit, that cheeky, retro-ish beauty brand, isn't really known for their fragrances. Maybe Baby, a romantic floral concoction, has been their one and only staple scent for a few years now. But recently, they've added a second fragrance to the line-up: B Spot. Dubbed a sexy, fruity floral, B Spot combines freesia and mango with a heart of peony and white orchid, and an amber and sandalwood finish. You really get a sense of fruity sweetness right at the top, but it quickly gives way to that florally heart. That freshness is still there at the dry-down, as the mango combines with hints of watermelon and apple flower, but it's not an offensive sweetness – it has a cool air that makes it perfect for the summer months. The floral middle is really the core of the scent, and it merges with the base notes of sandalwood and amber (and even a hint of marine, which probably adds to the fresh factor) to give it a seductive core. All told, it's an easy-wearing, and not overly complex scent that's akin to a body splash, as it's not overly heady. Read: worn in small doses, you won't offend your co-workers with this stuff if you choose to wear it to the office. Oh, and that name, B Spot? A cute little pun on "G Spot", it refers to those key places you should apply the scent: the inside of the wrist, neck-collete, bend of the elbow, behind the knee, inner curve of the ankle. And there's a cute little body map on the side of the box featuring a shapely lady which points out all those "B Spots", just in case you need directions.
And right now, you can get free US shipping at Benefit Cosmetics with code JULYFOUR! Offer valid 7.03.08 - 7.06.08 only.

If I had only found your blog last week, I would have ordered it without the shipping costs...I smelled this in the mall today and loved it. Will probably buy a bottle. Just wish it weren't an eau de toilette, so it would last longer. I haven't bought a fragrance since I purchased Champs Elysses. Most scents are awful and give me headaches. Any Chanel fragrance can send me into Migraine Land.
