need a lashing? try givenchy phenomen'eyes

Now, I'm all for innovation in the beauty world, but the latest trend, in the area of mascaras anyway, is a little on the macabre side. Take the new Givenchy Phenomen'eyes mascara, for example. I simply can't shake the feeling that, with its spherical head of spiky bristles and towering base, it has a definite resemblance to one of those medieval implements of torture. You know, that spiky ball thing with a chain attached, a la the weaponry of one Conan the Barbarian. A mace, I think it's called.
Kind of puts a new spin on batting your lashes, no?

Oh my! I'd probably injure myself with that brush :) ....but I'm strangely intrigued as well!

Ooh...fun! I wonder if it works. It looks so weird, but I bet you can really get your small lashes with that thing!

Ummm, normally I would keep things that look like that AWAY from my eyes! However I am always on the search for a great mascara...and if using a "medieval torture device" is what it takes, then so be it!
