At first glance, you might mistake this little number for some sort of magical orb of worship: All kneel before the sphere of Ojon Tawaka! But in fact, it's the latest in bodycare from "wildcrafted" beauty brand Ojon, known as Tawaka "The Ball". It looks like a big ball of chocolate, and actually, it kind of is – it's made of an ancient cacao blend, based on a recipe from the Tawaka villages in the tropical rainforest of central America, and it contains the same antioxidant amount as (wait for it) 2,834 lbs of blueberries, along with the Ojon brand's signature namesake omega-enriched-oil. So what do you do with it, exactly? You buff it all over yourself (and yes, it's a tad messy, but not as bad as you might think) and the bits of plants and herbs and grit inside it polish and smoothe your skin till it's glowy. I especially like to use it on my heels, since it sloughs away roughness while intensely moisturizing dry areas. The Tawaka Ball is created through a wildcrafted process which can take up to two days, so yes, it's absurdly luxurious in an American Psycho kind of way (and pricey too, at $65 a pop), but it really is like getting a spa treatment at home (you know, like those spa rituals where they bathe you in chocolate). My skin felt super-soft afterwards, with a faint hint of chocolatey scent. This thing smells so good, in fact, that you might be tempted to take a bite out of it, but I wouldn't recommend it. And while you'll be wanting to use your "Ball" every day, Ojon says twice a week is good enough. The Tawaka also comes with its own handcrafted bowl, so you can keep this precious orb on its little pedestal, protected from water, until you're next ready to use it.
