fitflop: work out while you walk

I'm on a quick overnight stay in New York for work (yes, the job has its perks!) and am not only melting under the tropical climate/furnace-like conditions here, I'm so wishing I brought my new Fitflops with me to trudge around town in. What are Fitflops, you ask? Well, they're basically like ThighMasters for your feet – they make your butt and thigh muscles work harder while you walk. I've only worn them a couple of times, but I've so far found that they're also the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn. The thicker-than-thick soles absorb shock and help reduce joint strain. If you're used to wearing semi-skimpy, thin-soled sandals like Havaianas, Fitflops may look like boats on your feet (at first), but once you get used to them, they look pretty normal and actually kind of cool.
When I return from New York, I'll give them a proper road-test and will be back to debrief on the Fitflops' butt-busting potential.

P.S.: Keep in mind lovelies that Tuesday posts will likely be non-existent, as I'll be in transit. Back to regular posting on Wednesday!

I bought mine the day before traveling to Nola and walked in them for three days straight! The first day my calves were sore but after that they felt great! I get compliments on them everywhere I go, and they have kept my feet very healthy. I have plantar faciitis and need a shoe with arch suppport and heel support. I also have tendonitis in my knees. I also run, spin, lift weights and stay fit…bought these because they looked cute and seemed sensible for my foot issues. The weight loss claims are silly, but the other aspects of the shoes are great. They look a bit more upscale than straight-up flipflops and they don’t wreck your feet. How great is that?
