I've always fantasized about having thick and lush, sex-kittenish hair along the lines of the bodacious babes from Valley of the Dolls. Alas, my hair is fine and flat most of the time, and could never reach the heights of those bouffants without a little help. So, to find my ultimate in big hair, I'm conducting a face-off of two of the most luxe plumpers of the moment: T3's 360 Plump and Fekkai's All-day Hair Plump. Read on to see who came out on top:
The T3 360 Plump was created in collaboration with top runway fashion stylist Orlando Pita, so I had high hopes for this one. It's a spray-on treatment - (which I love, since it's not at all messy) – that's enriched with keratin and vitamin B5 to nourish, while a heat-seeking technology plumps hair on contact with heat from your hairdryer. I used it with my coveted T3 Featherweight Hairdryer and am in love with the results: Non-sticky, soft and touchable hair with tons of volume. I barely did anything besides blow dry my hair and was amazed at how much it plumped up, without feeling sticky or tacky.

While Fekkai's All-Day Hair Plump is also assuringly non-sticky, I can't say that it delivered in terms of plumping power versus the T3 product. (This was my first-ever experience with a Frederic Fekkai product, so I was quite psyched to try it, but I have to say that I was a tad disappointed). I will however, give this stuff merits for being a fine grooming cream to give hair manageability and softness (it's infused with hyaluronic acid, an ingredient typically used in skincare, which is said to draw water into the hair); my hair felt soft and silky, but not much bigger than before using the serum. I see the Fekkai product as more of a nourishing leave-in treatment to protect against environmental and heatstyling damage, as opposed to a hair plumper.
So for serious volume, the T3 was tops for me.
Afterthoughts: So it turns out that while the Fekkai product does indeed plump the hair, it is not, in fact, a volumizer (so don't let the word "Plump" in the name confuse you, as I was). A spokesperson for the brand tells SugarShock that while the T3 product is for styling, the Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump is a leave-in treatment which continuously hydrates hair, filling in damaged areas and thus "plumping" them.

Thanks so much for the post. I love big sex-kitten hair, but haven't found a great product. I will definitely try to find the T3.
