a quick fix for tired eyes

When you get a bunch of beauty bloggers together, you can be assured there'll be beauty tips a-plenty. Such was the case on my first night in L.A. at the Total Beauty Blogging Summit a few weeks ago. Myself and the fabulous bloggers Daneen, Amber, Teri and Christina were lounging on the Italian-inspired terrace at the Ayres Manhattan Beach, getting to know eachother and gabbing away about blogging, jet lag and of course, beauty. Teri and Christina revealed their must-have beauty tip for waking up tired, zombie-like eyes: a flesh-toned liner on the inner rims of the eyes. I'd heard of using white shadow in the inner corners of the eyes, and even using a white pencil liner to brighten up, but had never heard of this flesh-toned trick. So of course, I just had to try it for myself, and lo and behold, I'm sold. Most people have a bit of redness on the inner rims of the eyes and a flesh-toned pencil basically cancels that out, making eyes look alive and kicking once again. Since I didn't have a fleshy eye pencil, I pulled a MacGyver and used what I had on-hand: Cargo's peachy-beige Reverse Lipliner, and it worked like a charm. Teri favors the Three Custom Color Light Clarifier eye pencil and I'm so getting this on my next beauty shopping excursion.

Yes, you need to try the one from Three Custom Color - it is a God send, and very gentle. Many rim type eyeliners have bothered my eyes in the past, but I have not had a problem at all with this one.

You should try Shu Uemura ice pink on the lower waterline, it's amazing! A make up artist who was making me up for my wedding gave me one on the day it totally erased all the signs of the “pre nuptial paranoia”-induced insomnia. And it makes your eyes looks much bigger.
