men's fragrances dial up the sex factor

The link between fragrance and sex is nothing new: just witness scent expert and mile-a-minute talker Dr. Alan Hirsch, the keynote speaker at the Total Beauty Blog Summit this past weekend in L.A. (He literally wrote the book on the subject, with Scentsational Sex, a guide to aromas that help put the spice back into your love life). So it's no surprise that sex is used to sell perfume, but lately it seems men's fragrances in particular are turning up the heat, so to speak. I'm thinking Tom Ford helped pave the way with his raunchy Tom Ford for Men ad campaign from last fall, which featured the greased-up fragrance bottle juxtaposed with female body parts, leaving nothing to the imagination. And now YSL is on the action with its latest limited edition bottle for YSL L'Homme, which I suppose could pass for a test tube, but quite frankly looks like one of those new-fangled high-end sex toys (not that I would know, of course). The first perfume bottle ever designed by an architect, the YSL flask was created by Jean Nouvel as a symbol of "fully assumed virility." You don't say.

Well, uhhhm yes. If the juice was interesting. They can get Oliver Martinez naked an oiled up to sell it and if not the ghost of Frank Lloyd Wright then say Zaha Hadid to design the bottle and Wim Wenders, David Lynch or Michael Bay to make the commercial but if the juice sucks then you're kindsa screwed,,,
