Since she's turned-out in every way possible, powdered, polished and lacquered to perfection, you'd think Dita Von Teese spends ample time at the salon, lavishing love on that dark ebony mane. But no, friends: Turns out, Miss Dita turns to boxed hair color to touch up her roots. After a return home to L.A. from Paris recently, she tweeted: "Blonde roots are showing. Big day at the drugstore to pick up a box of blue/black! Hope the Hollywood goths didn't beat me to it. Hate salons!"
Could you ask for a better endorsement of the at-home dye job?

Zombie Vivian - agreed! though I have to wonder whether Dita ever has her "sweatpants" moments or if she actually walks around the house in 7-inch heels all day long.
I have never tried an at home dye job, in fact I just went to the salon 2 weeks ago to have my hair dyed all over...but with organic hair color. No smell, no chemicals is the way to go!
When she's outside, she brings a parasol along to protect her skin from the sun. She even eats certain foods and takes certain vitamins so her skin remains milky white and soft... I'm sure she leaves her heels on at all times. She seems very dedicated!
I love dyeing at home. I have even used Black and Blue by Manic Panic. It looks similar to Dita's. The Vegan friendly all natural dyes are the way to go. You can leave them in for ages and they help condition your hair.
