H&M's dalliances with high fashion just keep getting better and better: avant garde designer Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons has been tapped to design a capsule fashion collection and unisex fragrance for the Swedish retailer. Joining previous design heavyweights that have aligned with H&M, including Roberto Cavalli, Viktor & Rolf and Karl Lagerfeld, Comme des Garçons is an inspired choice, since the Japanese designer's aesthetic is far from mainstream and decidedly conceptual (her pieces are like works of art). I'm looking forward to seeing what she comes up with, and of course, sampling the scent; the designer has launched several fragrances before (though I've never experienced them), and if they're anything like her clothes, we're in for a fragrance that's anything but boring.
