styleshock: diane kruger at a night of a thousand lights

What is it about Diane Kruger that just makes her seem like royalty? She just seemed to sweep in from out of nowhere to enchant us with her regal air (and as far as I know, she isn't even Hollywood royalty). Here she is looking divine at the A Night of a Thousand Lights event for Design Cares in New York this week. She's sporting a couple of my fave trends of the moment: a fuchsia lip and flushed pink cheek. It's amazing how natural and unassuming a hot-pink lip can be - and on her, it doesn't look in-your-face trendy, but rather like a new classic. And the pretty pink cheek gives a lovely glow, with just a little more drama than a post-workout flush. (It's the perfect match to her impossibly natural-looking tan.) She usually forgoes jewellery embellishment (perhaps for fear of diverting attention away from her stunning frocks) but this time she sports a bit of sparkle and of course, it works for her, and then some.
