trendshock: bronze eyeliner

Sometimes, black eyeliner is so...boring. Bronzy liner, in keeping with the metallic trend, adds a festive touch that really brightens up the eyes. And it's not just for holiday parties lovelies: the new liners have a subtle iridescence, rather than an all-out sparkle, so they're subtle enough even for daywear. Think of it as the new brown. One of my faves is Clinique's Brush-on Cream Liner in Bronze. It goes on smoothly and is super-easy to work with - unlike applying black liner, it's almost foolproof. It gives a pretty yet soft gilded effect that's flattering on just about anyone. For day, swipe on a thin line near just above the upper lashes; and for the party, feel free to lay it on thick and bring on the sparkle.
