to tone or not to tone?

It's been an ongoing debate in the beauty world: to use a toner, or to skip it? Not since my high school days of swiping on the oh-so-tingly, alcohol-laden Sea Breeze had I been pro-toner - until recently, that is. I've come to the conclusion that try as I might, I cannot deny that I have oily skin. And while I was reticent to add one more product to my skincare routine, I've realized that using a good toner helps tighten my pores and keeps oil at bay for just that little bit longer. I'm particularly coveting this Elderberry Toner by Renee Rouleau. Made for oily/combination skin, this light lotion subtly wipes up any errant makeup and oil left behind after cleansing, all the while soothing and hydrating. My skin feels refreshed, clean and lovely but not tight like my Sea Breeze days. Used in conjunction with the Purifying Face Wash, which uses green tea and sea-based soothing agents to cleanse without drying, that pesky oil is a thing of the past.

Oh my goodness, I had forgotten about Sea Breeze. Do they even make that stuff anymore?

I frankly have found that while I have oilier skin, it is always so sensitive that I find it hard to find one that does not irritate!
