So there's a cover story about the world's next top models in a little magazine called Vogue out right now - perhaps you've seen it? (Devoured it, is probably more apt, right lovelies!?!) The story is all about the possible return of the supermodel with a new crop of girls all in the running to take up where Linda, Christy and Cindy left off. You see, since 2000, we've been seeing the age of anonymity amongst models, the story goes, with faceless girls stripped of their personalities cropping up in ads and on the catwalks. Now, says Vogue, we're poised for a return to the diva-models of the late 80s, with a new roster of girls that all have distinctive personalities and looks (instead of all looking one and the same).

One of these girls is Hilary Rhoda. Never heard of her? Well you will, since she's been picked to be the next face of Estee Lauder. She's my pick for look of the week because I find her look so refreshing and new. Vogue calls her "all-American" but I beg to differ: there's something vaguely European in her bushy brows and blue eyes complemented by dark brown hair. I would say though that she is definitely a throwback to models of the 80s - she's got something Brooke Shields-like about her (possibly the brows!). For me, she just evokes classy. Apparently, her style icon is Jackie O. How fitting!
