So ends another cycle of ANTM, and what an action-packed ending it was! Three girls were whittled down to one in a tearful, shocker-filled episode. So without further ado, here is your photoshoot and runway recap.
First up, our girls had to work it like a CoverGirl in an ad spot and photoshoot for the mega beauty brand. Jaslene threw off her fierce look and chanelled soft and pretty for her shoot. For the ad spot, she also brought a little Latina flair, and spoke a few of her diva lines in Spanish, which won over the judges (this is what being an American is all about, didn't you know?). Renee was one of the strongest contenders, nailing the ad-libbed commercial. She rocked her photo too – she was the only model who really channelled the CoverGirl look – but the judges complained that she looked a bit haggard and wrinkly. Now lovelies, I thought this was actually a ruse to try and make us believe Renee was the next to go, when in fact she was really going to make it to the end. But alas, it was no ruse! Even though I was fairly certain that it would be Renee and Natasha at the end, Renee was sent packing, and then there were two.
Next up, our top two, Jaslene and Natasha, had to portray early Amazon women as they slinked down the runway of designer Sass & Bide. Jaslene looked fierce, but was still humble about the whole experience. Natasha, meanwhile, who had the best save ever on the catwalk (she lost her skirt, but not her cool), proclaimed, perhaps a little too arrogantly, "I did better than anyone else on the runway." Aside from that, I was still rooting for Natasha till the end, but I had to admit, that at this point, it was anyone's game and I could see either of them winning it.
In the end, the night belonged to Jaslene, our Little Miss Janice Dickinson. And lovelies, after seeing her first photoshoot, shown at the end of the episode, I had to agree with the choice - she looked stunning. But what's up with Tyra in this photo? Is it just me, or does she look a little scary-plastic?!?

Ah! I totally missed the ANTM finale last night! Jaslene? How the hell did that happen? Who knew that the next top model would be a Janice Dickenson-lookalike with a bizarro deaf tranny voice? I was rooting for Natasha and never really got the whole jaslene appeal. She's scary skinny and looks like a walking stick--not healthy. I'm surprised by the choice. Oh and you're right--that photo of tyra is frightening. she looks so creepy. all in all a rather ho-hum season of antm. Oh well.
good points Lydia! I do agree that Jaslene is far too skinny. she's certainly not a good role model for young girls....
